Introduction

  • The Regional Security & Facilities Manager of Company leads security management for both companies, including responsibility for employee security and protection of corporate assets of both companies based in Doha, Qatar, and Dubai, U.A.E.
  • A major element of this function is also to coordinate all activities for Facility Management for Regional offices, warehouse, and training facilities. This position reports directly to the CFO for all Facility Management and Organizational Issues.
  • The Regional Security duties include being a single point of contact representing Company towards Group Security for all security-related issues in the Middle East region.
  • The job holder must develop a strong network with Group Security, acting as liaison for all security topics to the local companies. In the Security role, the job holder reports operationally to the CEO.
  • This function includes coordination, implementation, and support for all regional Health & Safety initiatives for the companies. For this role, the job holder reports operationally to the HR Director.

Regional Security

  • The job holder is responsible for managing and planning of security operations and the organization and coordination of crisis management.
  • Development and implementation of a comprehensive security strategy in line with Group security policies and minimum-security standards to ensure that appropriate and cost-effective security measures / countermeasures are in place to maintain business processes in a secure working environment for employees in accordance with Group Security Policies (Group Policy 13).
  • Represent Company Group Security in local and/or regional projects.
  • Assessment and communication of security risks with regard to the specific security risks and challenges of a sales organization in the Middle East region.
  • Network with security professionals in the public, private, and commercial sectors and security associations to improve collaboration on security risk issues. Developing a security contact network in the Middle East region.
  • Supervision, guidance, testing, and control of security and fire protection concepts for new facilities, extensions, new office buildings, development sites and test tracks, etc.
  • Creation of security concepts, taking into account regional requirements and defining the necessary budgets for security measures in the overall budget.
  • Propose, seek approval, and initiate the purchase of necessary security technology in accordance with the Volkswagen Group's security guidelines and minimum-security standards.

    Facility Manager

  • Monitors all activities related to buildings and properties of the companies Group Middle East and Group Sales Middle East.
  • Office Management – Major office plan changes such as refurbishment / extension / new projects. Oversee the commissioning of new facility and hand over process in case there is a plan to move to any other location for either office.
  • Responsible for keeping the infrastructure in good condition and ensuring that the operating systems and facilities are safe (occupational safety) and functional.
  • Maintain updated floor plans, costing for projects etc.
  • Arrange for appropriate documentation whilst sending out material out of office freezones or training academy on temporary or permanent basis (this only includes material being sent into storage or disposed & NOT for distribution to dealers which is managed by Logistics).
  • Responsible for service contracts and Purchase orders of Facility related suppliers
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Planning, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance and repair activities for the facility, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and structural elements. Liaise with suppliers and work on negotiations and solutions for improving office maintenance and facility management issues.
  • Safety and Security: Implementing and managing safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of occupants and compliance with regulations. This may include overseeing security systems, fire safety measures, and emergency response plans.
  • Cost reductions plan regarding maintenance contract for office

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Professional Certification in Crisis Management / Business Resilience.
  • Degree: B.Sc./B.A. in building management, engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Appropriate professional qualification.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the field of group security.
  • Experience in setting up an operational unit, background in operational security.
  • Proven experience in intercultural cooperation.
  • Sound knowledge of security planning.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English required (written and spoken)
  • German language knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS office.
  • Security and Facility management experience beneficial.
