About this role: Medical Writer


We are currently hiring a Medical Writer for our client who is a medical communication company. The Medical Writer is passionate about taking ownership for the quality of your work, with the ability to think laterally. The ideal candidate will be a team player with top notch communication skills. This is a permanent 100% remote position from anywhere in Canada.


  • Produce clear, concise, and accurate written communications describing scientific information across a range of therapeutic areas
  • Develop creative scientific workshop activities
  • Develop slide decks for scientific presentations/learning programs
  • Author scientific papers (including peer-reviewed scientific research manuscripts, guidelines or consensus documents)
  • Write scientific/medical meeting reports
  • Act as scientific lead on projects and communicate with external stakeholders (e.g. clients/physicians) regarding scientific content
  • Attend meetings for assigned projects. Reference and annotate references
  • Conduct informal literature searches.
  • Edit/perform quality control of scientific/medical communications materials
  • Consult on the creation of scientifically accurate audiovisual content
  • Ensure adherence to editorial standards across multiple projects



  • Graduate degree (Master’s or higher) in a scientific or health-related field
  • A minimum of 1-year prior experience in medical or scientific writing in the health care/medical communications industry
  • Instructional design or education background/experience an asset
  • Experience working in or with the pharmaceutical industry an asset
  • Healthcare policy/publication writing experience a plus
  • Proven experience developing interactive or creative educational formats a bonus
  • Experience with medical/regulatory submission platforms; Veeva preferred
  • Must be fluent in both French and English (Written and Verbal)
