Lead Boilermaker/ Welder - Mobile Plant Experience - PNG

Brunel Papua New Guinea are seeking an experienced Lead Boilermaker/ Welder with background in mining mobile plant maintenance. This is a FIFO role based at a gold mine in PNG. This is a 3-6 months contract opportunity (extension highly likely) with FIFO benefits and offering attractive daily rates. 22 days on/20 days off roster with 12-hour days. Commencement date is as soon as possible.

The role of the Lead Boilermaker/ Welder is to:

Fabrication, Inspection, Maintenance & Repairs on the following machinery:

• Haul Trucks CAT 777, 785 & larger
• Dump Trucks up to CAT 789, 793, Hitachi 5000
• Dozers D10, D11 or similar
• Graders 16M, 966K, 992 G&K, 993K Graders
• Loaders up to CAT 336gc & 390f
• Excavators Hitachi EX2600 & EX1200 or CAT 6050 & 6060
• Blast Hole Drills PV271 or similar
• Bucket repairs
• Sandvik D55SP Rotary Drills

• Recognised Trade Certification
• Valid Driver’s Licence – HR preferable
• A high attention to detail, accuracy and safety
• DG, LF, EWP, CN (Desirable)
• Preferred minimum 5 years experience
• MUST have experience in MEM or Mobile Plant Welding Experience
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police clearance
• Strong understanding and adherence to OHS procedures and practices
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months) or willing to obtain one
