Lab Technician

We’re hiring Lab Technician for one of our Leading MNC in Oil & Gas to join their growing team. This position is based out in Bangalore.

• Position: Lab Technician;
• YOE: 2-4 Years;
• Contract type: Contract;
• Location: Bangalore.

Description:

• Strict adherence to all HSSE rules, training, and general housekeeping rules;
• Strict adherence to all quality standards as defined by the standard operating procedures (SOP);
• Ability to execute experimental plan under the guidance of project leaders/Team leaders;
• Preliminary data analysis and recommendations on next steps is also required;
• Co-ordinating and monitoring small scale blending of lubricating oils, OEM samples at labs;
• Work closely on project deliveries, formulation optimization with Project leaders/Technology managers;
• Ability to plan experimental protocol to support project sub-sections, independent execution and preliminary interpretation of data and generation of recommendations;
• Ability to maintain lab instrument in good working condition, including instrument calibration, maintenance and repair under support of equipment suppliers or experienced experimentalist;
• To pro-actively develop oneself in technical skills areas.

• Bachelors/master’s in chemistry/Chemical Engineering with minimum of 2-3 years of work experience;
• Basic knowledge of lubricant formulation, chemistry or testing will be an advantage, experience with lubricant/grease before would be preferred;
• Ready to relocate;
• High accuracy measurements which also require good laboratory handling skills;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Independent thinking and/or problem solving Ability to come up with an experimental plan for small sub-sections of a project, interpret data and come up with preliminary analysis of trends and recommendations;
• Pro-active with respect to addressing technical challenges and technical skill development;
• Ability and resilience to multi-task and adapt to changes in the experimental plan;
• Ability to design experimental plans and then execute them under the guidance of project leaders Preliminary data analysis and recommendations on next steps is also required;
