About this role: Embedded Software Developer

Our client is searching for an Embedded Software Developer to join their growing team. Our client is a French-based utility company which operates largely in the water and waste management sectors.

Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will have the chance to work on all phases of product development, from design to testing and validation, he/she ensures good quality of both product and associated documents.

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop software and firmware, for power converter products
  • Develop and conduct necessary testing and debugging to ensure a working product
  • Support system integration and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Effectively communicate software designs and concepts to software and non-software team members
  • Prepare documentation as required, including requirements, verification & validation reports
  • Practice configuration management during product development and maintenance


  • BS degree in Electrical Engineer or equivalent
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in embedded software development
  • Able to work on several priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional team working skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, autonomous, rigorous and results oriented
  • Bilingual (English, French), written and spoken
  • Familiar with Matlab/Simulink
  • Proficient in C Programming
  • Knowledge of STM32 microcontrollers &/or Cortex-M4 processors, development on Keil uVision
  • Knowledge of real-time operating systems
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is an asset
  • Read and understand advanced schematics
