We are currently hiring a Director, Project Management Office for our manufacturing (renewable energy equipment) client in Quebec. You will be responsible for ensuring structure and visibility to our clients Program in North America. You will lead a team responsible for implementing Project Standards and anticipate and mitigate risks to increase the efficiency, consistency, and overall success the different stages of construction for this project. This is a fulltime permanent opportunity.

About this role

  • Own the integrated Program Schedule

  • Coordinate the creation of the Program budget and reporting

  • Own the compilation of documented and updated assumptions necessary for the project to be synchronized and fully aligned among all the different disciplines

  • Identify and Prioritize issues to be escalated across projects

  • Implement and standardize the Project Management "toolbox" across Projects

  • Be in charge of preparing management meetings including

  • Undertake all the steps necessary to make effective decisions possible by fostering a culture of short, crisp and data driven presentations

  • Collect, update and distribute the pipeline of key decisions to be made and perform regular and diligent follow ups with stakeholders

  • Define and own the Program Dashboard covering Safety, Cost, Schedule and risks, focusing as much on trailing indicators than leading indicators.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the Change Management and Risk Management processes

  • Be the functional leader ("dotted line") of the PM in each respective Project

  • Participate actively to the recruitment process of all the PMO/Project controls team members across all scopes

  • Create and document Program onboarding material

  • Ensure the PM resources are effective, well balanced across Projects, and have long term development plans.


  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in multidisciplinary and complex construction projects (200M +)

  • Previous experience a leadership role, building and managing a team.

  • Experience overseeing Cost Control, Scheduling, Risk and Interface Management.

  • Experience in a greenfield setting, implementing structure from scratch

  • Experience delivering a construction project from design to commissioning.

  • Previous experience in one of the following industries: Industrial Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Energy, Oil & Gas, Pharma, Mining & Metals, Semiconductors.

  • Bilingual Communication: Fluent communication in French and English to effectively collaborate with diverse team and liaise with local and international stakeholders.
