About this role: Business Development Manager - Oil & Gas/Mining/Defence

Are you a Business Development Manager with experience in Oil & Gas and Mining who is looking to further develop your client base across Western Australia and beyond?

This role is newly created and will allow you to bring your existing client relationships to expand upon – whilst also chasing leads and developing new business in the Australian market.

Your product and services line spans lifting systems and equipment, cranes, winches, hydraulic systems and technologies, electrical, mechanical and structural lifting systems and equipment, maintenance services, installation and testing systems and services for heavy industry – both on and offshore, mining and/or defense sectors.

If you have worked with hydrotesting, flushing of tubing and piping systems, asset optimization projects and shutdowns or maintenance campaigns – then that is also relevant.

If you have experience with and exposure to some or all of the above then do get in touch for more information. The services and solutions you have worked with will be broad and varied – it is the strength of your relationships with customers and clients that is key to being successful in this role. Similarly – your natural instincts as a Salesperson and your drive to grow your patch are fundamental to thriving in this role and working environment.

As in most Sales roles – you will have KPI’s and targets to work towards which you will define together with your manager prior to accepting the role. These KPI’s will be reviewed after probation and once yearly to ensure they are relevant.

Requirements

To apply for this role you have:

- Bachelor Degree, Diploma or Higher Trade Qualification- More than 10 years industry experience in Oil & Gas, Mining and/or Defense sectors- Strong understanding of Mechanical equipment, technologies, systems and solutions- Excellent sales and business development skills
- Proven track record of identifying new target clients, building and developing relationships and negotiating contracts.- Experience setting and working to SMART targets – (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.)- To apply you must be local to Perth and have an established network in the local Western Australian market.- You must also have full Australian working rights.

The role is rewarded with a base salary plus Superannuation, a car allowance and Bonus based on KPI’s.
