Introduction

Chevron Australia has an exciting opportunity for an Assurance and Risk Coordinator to join the ABU Capital Projects Factory organization. Reporting to the Assurance and Risk Product Owner within the Project Services team, this role will be based in Perth.
The Factory organisation is delivering the established portfolio of Capital Projects associated with Gorgon and Wheatstone gas supply as well as non-gas supply projects including potential new energies and lower carbon projects.
The Factory organisational model is underpinned by achieving top quartile competitive, predictable, and reliable outcomes and is enabled by product teams with a portfolio view enabling agile delivery teams to deliver specific scopes of work. The Factory uses standardised products and supplier-led solutions to target highest returns, lower cycle times and efficiency at all levels of work.
As an Assurance and Risk Coordinator you will support delivery of the assurance and risk products across multiple projects in the portfolio. The products are: project risk management, technical interface management, project assurance, engagement with the Joint Venture Participants (JVPs), lessons learned seek and capture, decisions management, and project management of change. You will also support standardisation and continuous improvement of the products

About this role

Risk Management

  • Maintain the risk register in the integrated project information management solution tool (iPIMS), resolving inaccuracies and missing data. Follow up with risk owners to update the register where required.
  • Prepare and co-facilitate monthly risk reviews and prepare and issue the quarterly JVP risk report.
  • Maintain iPIMS set-up and access, managing support from the software supplier where necessary.
  • Co-facilitate risk workshops.

Interface Management

  • Train and support project team members in use of the technical interface management process and tool (iPIMS).
  • Monitor the interfaces database and provide support as necessary with interface owner queries and overdue interface requests.
  • Maintain iPIMS set-up and access, managing support from the software supplier where necessary.

Assurance Programme

  • Support assurance reviews by coordinating preparation of pre-read materials, issue of materials to Chevron and JVP reviewers and collation and tracking of review action items.

JVP Engagement

  • Monitor email correspondence from JVPs and route as necessary to the responding person in the project team.
  • Coordinate preparation and issue to JVPs of presentation materials and other documentation, set-up and coordinate JVP meetings.

Lessons Learned, Decisions, Project Management of Change

  • Train and support project team members with use of the processes and tool (iPIMS).
  • Provide reporting and review meeting facilitation where necessary.

Requirements

Top 3 Must have skills:

  • Proactive and responsive communicator and able to interface with all project functions, leadership and JVP representatives.
  • collection of information from diverse sources, concisely interpret and present / communicate for use, including use of database workflows and MS Excel, applying appropriate attention to detail when necessary.
  • Capital projects management processes.

Nice to have skills:
