About this role: Technology Engineer (OCTG-LPL)
- Prepare & develop CNC programs to for threading of casings (pins) and couplings (box) of API connections and OCTG premium and semi premium connections considering quality and productivity on various CNC machines;
- Work with operation and maintenance teams to identify and troubleshoot day-to-day quality problems in threading on CNC machines;
- Ensure reliability & improving equipment and processes in Coupling Shop, OCTG & finishing lines such as coating, marking, length & weight measurement, phosphating;
- Provide technical support, train and mentor finishing line personnel regarding the use and operation of equipment according to manufacturer safety standards and the fundamental principles;
- Provide Manufacturing and/or technical knowledge and skills to support JESCO business processes that allow JESCO to meet business goals;
- Develop and mentor Technology and Manufacturing (as individuals or as a group) through the execution of projects and/or the Technology Work Processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Mechanical or equivalent;
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in working on CNC machines for threading of API 5CT connections and OCTG premium, semi premium connections;
- Should be well versed with CNC threading machine programming, troubleshooting to achieve product quality and productivity;
- Should be familiar with processes and trouble shooting in OCTG/Coupling/Finishing Lines equipment (Hydrostatic testing, Coating, marking, length and weight measurement etc.) and improve it to meet company goals.
- Familiar with API 5CT & 5L;
- Experience in finishing lines in seamless steel pipe industry will be an added advantage.
