Technical Lead- Grid & Power Systems

Brunel are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead- Grid & Power Systems to join one of our major global clients within their project teams;
Start date: ASAP;
Location: Monaco
Duration: Permanent

As a Technical Lead you Will be Carrying out the Following:

• Frame project concept and provide high level technical inputs at very early project stage: technology selection, single line diagram, loss estimations;
• Coordinate and approve the design of the overall electrical wind farm architecture;
• Prepare grid connection applications and follow-up with transmission system operator;
• Manage external engineering studies: prepare technical specifications, direct vendors during the project development phases;
• Prepare or contribute to the elaboration of functional specifications for key project packages such as substation, wind turbine, inter-array cables;
• Define and manage electrical interfaces between the various packages of the wind farms;
• Coordinate internal resources allocation to the projects.

What we are Looking for:

• Master engineering degree in electrical engineering or equivalent;
• Technical expertise in electrical power systems and onshore / offshore electrical transmission;
• 10 years of experience, with a minimum 5 years of experience with power plant grid connection, ideally in wind energy;
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and grid codes;
• Knowledge in specifications and electrical design of balance of plant components: substations, export and inter-array cables.
