About this role: Team Leader - Policy, Governance & Compliance

Ensure that Carigali Hess Operating Company (CHOC) is kept fully appraised of their obligations under labor and company policies, and to provide professional advice on all matters related to industrial relations and at the same time act as CHOC management’s interface with 3rd parties on policy, governance & compliance matters. Develops, direct implementation and advice of labor and company policies in CHOC which is aimed at achieving the business objectives and goals and to promote the need for employee harmony and at the same time acts as HRBP, single point of contact for the Management team and employees in the designated department within CHOC on human resource related issues in order to support the HR Strategy which is in line with the business strategy.

Policy, Procedure & Guidelines

  • Develop, review and drive the implementation of relevant HR policies, procedures and guidelines andEmployee Handbook applicable to the company in accordance to the Labor Law in order to promote staff satisfaction, motivation & discipline and maintain harmonious work environment among different categories of staff.
  • Enforce the implementation of applicable policies, procedures and guidelines and affect the compliance to statutory and legislative requirements in order to ensure conformance to the established Limits of Authority (LOA), company‐wide policies and government regulations to safeguard CHOC and shareholders’ integrity and image as a responsible multinational.

Employee & Industrial Relations and Governance

  • Communicate, interpret and champion the execution of the objectives and provisions of the above within the working team and undertake appropriate mitigation and/or intervention programs to safeguard business operations, high staff discipline and industrial harmony.
  • Acts as the Employee Champion, presenting employee concerns to management by Identifying and tracking people problems, counselling staff on personal issues and running the scheduled HR clinics with the aim of building a positive and engaged work environment.
  • Advise on Redeployment Process and manage various separation processes within CHOC (other than retirement).
  • Provide advice on discipline, grievances and support management in cases where there are internal disputes by Seeking legal input on any Labor cases, attending court proceedings in order to determine appropriate action.

Workforce Strategy ‐ Organization Design & Job Description

  • Manage the manpower planning of the organization structure including job description to ensure it isoptimized to support the company business plan.HR Communication and Change ManagementManage HR internal communication and change management for the HR Manager such as announcement of new appointments, new joiners, reminders on HR activities, Town Hall, HR dialogue etc. to ensure all communications and changes are communicated to management, stakeholders and employees.

Audit

  • Lead MTJA or Shareholders yearly Audit for HR in order to ensuring all requirements are responded to on a timely manner and lead any policy clarification with auditors.
  • Lead any improvements that have been suggested by shareholders for HR.

HR Business Partner

  • Acts as the HR Business Partner (HRBP) for one of the 4 Departments of CHOC to advice and supporton all people matters i.e. not limited to Work Program & Budget, Recruitment, Performance & Talent Management and the interpretation of HR policies and procedures for managers and employees.
