About this role: Senior Project Manager - Mine Relocation

Brunel is seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive greenfields mine project experience, particularly in new mine builds with haul roads or the relocation of mine sites. The SPM will be working owners-side in the beautiful Peel region to deliver project outcomes for the refurbishment and relocation of our client’s existing facilities into a new mining region. The outlook for this engagement is long term with an initial 2-3 years of planned work and will require regular site travel.

As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all project processes from the initial phases to completion of the review/closure phase, whilst ensuring a smooth transition between all stages of the project. You will be accountable for ensuring the project meets business requirements of time, cost, and quality by managing all project activities and coordinating internal/external resources into a fully integrates and controlled effort.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering – Civil or Mining preferred
  • Post graduate qualifications in business or project management (highly regarded)
  • Extensive experience in an operations/engineering and project management field
  • Experience in mine relocations or a heavy industry
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with engineering supervisory experience
  • Business and customer focus are critical with an appreciation for owner led engineering and project management relationships and execution strategies
