Introduction

Brunel are proud to partner with a highly trusted, national Builder who is a longstanding operator in the market completing projects up to $400m+. They are experiencing an incredibly successful period in Brisbane with some iconic projects coming up in 2024 and beyond.

They are looking for a Senior Contract Administrator to work on a commercial construction project valued $300m+ in Brisbane.

This is an important project to deliver for the Queensland community and a chance to work for a builder that will skyrocket your career growth potential both internally and externally.

You'll be joining a well established team with a trusted leader and years of experience delivering projects of a similar scale.

About this role

Responsibilities:

You will support the project team in successfully delivering this project for a high profile client. This includes the following responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and administer subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgets.
  • Review, analyse, and advise on contract terms and conditions, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Monitor and track project expenditures and commitments to ensure cost control and accurate forecasting.
  • Prepare and maintain all project-related documentation, including variations, claims, and project schedules.
  • Manage the change order process and communicate changes to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
  • Resolve disputes and issues with subcontractors and suppliers in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide mentoring for junior administration staff.




Requirements

  • Qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, a related field or sufficient professional experience (Required).
  • 5+ years of experience working on Commerical / Industrial Construction projects $100m+ (required).
  • Clear understanding of and experience working with Australian Building Standards.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
