About this role: HSE Specialist - Non JV
On behalf of our client, a global Oil & Gas Operator, we are looking for an experienced HSE Specialist to provide operational guidance and OE leadership to the Technical Projects and North West Shelf asset teams.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing HSE support and guidance to the Technical Project team responsible for brownfields project development, planning and execution across Gorgon and Wheatstone. You will also coordinate the delivery of all HSE management system deliverables and resourcing requirements in support of technical projects across early concept phases through to execution.In addition to providing OE leadership and generalist HSE operational guidance, you will also perform the OE Process Advisor role for Non-Operated Joint Venture HES assessment & engagement (NOJV) OE Process. You will review and provide Subject Matter Expert feedback regarding NOJV operator HSE processes, documentation, investigations, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Provide OE leadership and generalist HSE operational guidance to the Technical Projects and North West Shelf asset teams

- Coordinate the delivery of all HSE management system deliverables and resourcing requirements in support of technical projects across early concept phases through to execution
- Review and provide Subject Matter Expert feedback regarding NOJV operator HSE processes, documentation, investigations, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives
- Work with Chevron NWS asset team and engage with NOJV operator to positively influence NOJV operator HSE performance and share best practices with ABU operations
- Participate in the Technical Project Leadership Team, responsible for strategic planning and continuous improvement across the Technical Project team
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety or HSE
- Experience in the oil and gas sector, with capital projects design and construction
- Ability to facilitate and participate in risk studies as a safety & health SME, and assist in the identification of safeguards and plan safeguard verification activities for project field execution
- Ability to travel to our sites
- Experience in incident investigation processes, human and organizational performance principles and their application, and assurance activities (desirable)
- Able to provide sound technical and risk-based advice on HSE aspects in project work (brownfield projects, small capital project works, technical projects).
- Candidate must demonstrate the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
