Brunel is working closely with an established renewable energy developer who are seeking an experience grid connection engineer to join its team to take ownership of all grid connection activities for the Australian business.

Join the team in either the Melbourne or Brisbane office and be a part of a growing energy company with the backing of a global leader in the renewable energy industry.

About this role

Reporting to the senior project development manager, the grid connection engineer will be responsible for managing the grid connection process and applications that comply with AEMO and NSP requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of grid connection activities and be able to provide support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle from feasability to design through to commissioning.


  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 5-8+ years experience in grid connection with an energy company.
  • Strong understanding of AEMO connection procceses and applications.
  • Experience in grid connection for renewable energy assets highly desired.
  • Power systems modelling experience with PSSE, PSCAD or Power Factory.
  • High level of communication and negotiation skills.
