Brunel Australasia are working with a major oil & gas client who is currently recruiting for a Geospatial Technician for a 12 month contract role!

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global Oil & Gas industry leader, working from their operations in their operations in Queensland!

  • Manage and deliver multiple discrete streams of work simultaneously through geospatial data analysis using ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro
  • Customer Service focused delivery with:

- Responsibility for on-going geospatial data maintenance and dissemination,

- Client/end-user support and generation of cartographic products and other GIS reports

- Information and data validation

  • Closely follow defined workflow procedures and perform complex geo processes unassisted.
  • Utilise problem solving skills to resolve geospatial and business challenges that are not defined by existing workflows.
  • Maintain close working relationships with multidiscipline business groups to ensure delivery of products within KPI timeframes
  • Execute and contribute to quality assurance practices for cartographic products, data and outputs
  • Manipulate and manage corporate GIS data using ESRI’s ArcGIS suite

Requirements

  • Experience using the full ESRI suite of products to delivery timely, accurate data analysis and specialised cartographic products.
  • Extensive experience with GIS data management, including a proactive approach to cartographic product QA/QC
  • Experience compiling, storing, manipulating and maintaining GIS data from diverse sources
  • Demonstrated experience in management, editing and analysis of geospatial data and understanding of water and gas network terminology and functionality
  • Demonstrated experience on construction projects, including an understanding of process flow diagrams and other detailed engineering documents
  • Able to follow discrete streams of work and procedures to deliver standard deliverables (cartographic or otherwise) in a timely manner
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to help deliver complex tasks and projects efficiently and accurately
