Financial Planning Analyst (7-month contract) Markham, ON

About this role


  • Business partner support and accountability for the Marketing and OPEX budgets

  • Support the Company Finance team with financial reporting, commentary, closing activities (JEs and BSRs) and forecasting requirements

  • Manage the Base Discount and Volume Incentive Programs

  • Prepare and communicate a daily Sales Report



  • 3 - 8 years of relevant experience in general accounting required.

  • Degree in related financial discipline or business required.

  • An in-progress, or completed qualified designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)

  • Understand and apply internal control and SOX compliance requirements.

  • Working knowledge of SAP, TM1, Anaplan, AFO as well as advanced Excel skills

  • Strong accounting skills and understanding of accounting principles.

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.

  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills, plus demonstrates drive and a willingness to take ownership for tasks and responsibilities.

  • Able to get up to speed quickly

  • Effective communication, collaboration and influencing skills.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills.

Working for the Vision Care unit, the Financial Planning Analyst should have financial acumen, previous journal entry experience, and great communication skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound work ethics, respect, team building, and cultural sensitivity and awareness. This is a 7-month contract position.
