Your Mission: Engineering Excellence and Unleashing Possibilities!As the Engineering Manager, you'll be the mastermind behind the central support network. Your mission? To lead and inspire the engineering, design, administration, and project delivery streams. By providing cutting-edge engineering solutions and operational support, you'll ensure their projects are executed flawlessly, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities: Energise and Transform!

  • Analyse client system load profiles and electrical plant characteristics with the precision of an engineering wizard, ensuring compliance with safety standards and delivering efficient power connections.
  • Harness your leadership skills to supervise and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, both in-house and external, to achieve seamless integration of mechanical, civil, controls, and environmental inputs.
  • Serve as the technical backbone by working closely with the Technical Support Desk, providing subject matter expertise and hands-on engineering engagement to meet client needs.
  • Ignite the project design process by preparing comprehensive Project Design Package documentation, optimising fleet selection, and showcasing your engineering brilliance to clients and stakeholders.
  • Embark on electrifying adventures as you liaise with the client's technical team, remotely or through site visits, to ensure project requirements align with the vision and deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Authorise and sign off on all crucial project documentation, reviewing commissioning reports to guarantee a seamless handover to operational teams, and ensuring strict adherence to design specifications.
  • Supercharge the development of aspiring engineers by providing technical instruction, mentoring, and empowering them to enhance their capabilities and reach new heights.
  • Prepare and review project Bills of Materials (BoMs), ensuring accurate and optimised resource allocation based on project design requirements.
  • Optimise the support team's productivity and effectiveness by utilising data-driven insights to plan work activities, prioritise tasks, and provide timely technical field support, even during challenging hours.
  • Gather the league of project stakeholders and lead electrifying project meetings, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders, and developing robust communication plans.
  • Take charge of the mobilisation, installation, and commissioning phases of projects, overseeing the seamless execution and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide expert engineering intervention and escalation support throughout the project life cycle, analysing protection, controls, and trip incidents, and generating reports and data for internal and external use.
  • Be a master communicator, delivering timely and accurate reports on project status and operations, identifying potential risks, and providing mitigation and contingency plans to keep our projects on track.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to estimate project costs, develop project budgets, and monitor expenses, ensuring we achieve outstanding results within budgetary constraints.
  • Nurture a culture of growth and excellence by conducting induction programs, performance appraisals, and development plans for your dedicated team of direct reports.

  • Exceptional technical expertise in electrical engineering, with a deep understanding of power generation, distribution systems, electrical design, and relevant safety regulations.
