About this role: Electrician – Ore Car Maintenance 2/2 & 2/1 Roster Options

We are currently seeking experienced and qualified Electricians to join our dynamic team. Whether you prefer a 2/2 or 2/1 roster, these roles offer a unique opportunity to contribute to Ore Car Maintenance operations. This role requires FIFO from Perth, located in the Pilbara region on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Ore Car Wheelshop Maintenance (2/2 Roster):

  • Maintaining and Operating the following equipment in a semi-automated wheel processing facility such as;- Hegensheidt 165 Portal Lathe, Wheel boring machines, Axle lathe, Wheel press / demount machines, bearing press / demount machines, automated Gudel gantry cranes
  • Scheduled and breakdown maintenance
  • Fault finding and diagnostics on machinery and equipment
  • Fault finding and diagnostics on pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
  • Operating forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Utilising SAP to record maintenance activities
  • Adhering to industry standards and site safety regulations

Ore Car Maintenance (2/1 Roster):

  • Scheduled and breakdown maintenance of Ore Cars and Ancillary Rollingstock
  • Fault finding and diagnostics of Electronically Controlled Pneumatic Braking (ECPB) systems
  • Component change-outs (draft gear, couplers, yokes)
  • Wheelsets and bogie changeouts
  • Inspecting On-track Ore Cars brake block change-outs
  • Operating forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Ability to work in a team of up to 15
  • Utilising SAP to record maintenance activities
  • Adhering to industry standards and site safety regulations

Requirements

  • A recognised trade certificate in Australia
  • Must have an Unrestricted WA “A’ Grade Electrical License
  • Valid CPR/ LVR Certificate
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Current High Risk Work License - LF, DG, EWP (for 2/2 Roster) or LF, DG (for 2/1 Roster)
  • Minimum Australian Manual Drivers License
  • Minimum 5 years experience with mining or heavy industry experience (required for all available rosters)
  • Fixed plant experience preferable over mobile experience (required 2:1 roster)
  • Competent in the use of overhead cranes up to 15t
  • Competent in the use of in the use of forklifts upto 16T
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • Ability to pass a Rail CAT 2 medical
