About this role: Electrical Engineer - Drones/ Inspection Equipment

Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with hobbies including Raspberry Pi, Arduino and flying drones or ROVs?

This role is for someone passionate about robotics and inspection equipment, non -destructive testing technology and electronic circuits.

The role is permanent and offers career progression and development. If you have managed or mentored technicians or engineers then you will fit right in as this role leads a team of engineers and designers of varying levels of experience.

This role is SOR in a medium sized company that is rapidly growing locally and internationally so your level of responsibility and accountability will be relatively high.


Your technical expertise comprises of:

- Strong Electrical design experience – using Solidworks or AutoCad- Strong Project Management skills and time-management capabilities- Calculations for LV applications- Design and testing solutions for Data comms – including understanding RS232 and RS485 standards as well as experience with fibre optic and ethernet protocols
- Design and testing of motor control circuitry, PCB design and control system tuning- Project lifecycle experience – from concept, design to commissioning and delivery- Understanding of Australian and International (Electrical) standards- Ability to work well within a diverse team and a fast-paced environment
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering to qualify
