Introduction

  • To Lead / support all Construction CTCA, related functions for Project. Support on boarding of Contractor(s)/ Subcontractor(s) and ensure compliance to Project requirements.
  • The CTCA Superintendent will be responsible for the establishment of the Construction CTCA Inspection program, including Audits during Phases.
  • The Superintendent will further perform ad-hoc inspections daily across all work-fronts as well as 3rd party inspections.

About this role

  • Responsible for the development, review, and implementation of the Construction Specification for Temporary Construction Aids (Critical and Non-Critical and Audit program in line with Project, requirements.
  • Responsible for field-based activities including daily, regular, and quarterly inspections and audits to ensure compliance to requirements.
  • Liaises with multiple interfaces (Onshore Construction, PMT, Contractor, OpCo and RLC) to support Construction CTCA mobilization, inspection, and demobilization.
  • Responsible for direct oversight 3rd party inspections including verification of inspection quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned tasks and interpret results of inspections.
  • Ensure that Contractor/Subcontractor policies and procedures for Construction CTCA Inspection comply with reference framework.
  • Ensure that mobilization of Contractor for EPC is performed safely, and initial phases of Project is executed in line with Company expectations, including pre-inspection of Construction CTCA at Contractor facilities.
  • Support the implementation of the CTCA Inspection program including the direct oversight of Contractor & 3rd party inspections with collaboration.
  • Identify required TCA, Design new TCA.
  • Provide direct oversight on the implementation of a CTCA inspection program, including possible off-site workshops.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a fabricator with strong skills in mathematic / quality control standards.
  • Postgraduate with practical background and theoretical of Structural / Piping fabrication.
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in the relevant CTCA inspection field.
  • Experience in major Construction Projects (including brown-field work) with total capital expenditure >USD$1B
  • Middle East region experience preferred, with recent experience (last 5 years) on Projects and working in Ras Laffan Industrial City.
  • Setting up and management of Construction CTCA Inspection programs as well as good knowledge of fabrication and calculations/drawings.
  • Relevant experience in this context refers to CTCA inspection and/or fabrication of, IFC drawings, Safety Factor, Code of Standard, NDT. Must understand and be able to interpret Isometrics and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of Industry standards, specifications & requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to review and comment on technical documents
  • Strong teamwork, facilitation, with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures to obtain world-class performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
