Our client, a major WA asset, is committed to revolutionizing the aviation industry and driving the transition towards a sustainable future. With further expansions going on within the Perth airport, they are seeking experienced Contracts to join our client’s team and assist in effective, responsive and high-quality management of their ground transport consolidation project contracts. This will be solution driven, collaborative and considered with the appropriate commercial and risk implications for the project.

About this role

Provide support to the Senior Project Manager, Project Manager and Design Manager with contract management and administration for GTCP ensuring the contracts are managed effectively and:

  • in a professional and compliant manner using standardized agreements, templates, documentation and processes;
  • proactively by guiding and supporting the pre award development, market engagement, negotiation, execution and award process;
  • proactively by guiding and supporting the post award administration, negotiations, reviews and monitoring;
  • ensuring control and appropriate allocation of risks associated with post award contract administration through to close out;
  • within defined cost, program, quality, risk and safety/health objectives.

Contract Administration Services:· Support the GTCP team to prepare, develop and execute contracts in alignment with the project contracting strategy.· Review tender documentation and provide advice pre and post award phases.· Proactively uncover the risks and potential challenges to GTCP contracts during formation and execution.· Establish contract templates for GTCP contract project lifecycle.· Establish communication protocols with internal stakeholders and external suppliers including the use of Aconex Cost module for contract management.· Provide effective and successful claim management support to Project and Design Managers and other contract owners within the team.· Respond effectively to any contractual matters that arise ensuring the best outcomes are reached for the project.· Administration of the principals' responsibilities within the established Contract· Ability to work on site with the Project team and Construction team· Keeping up to date documents and records to support the principal’s obligations in the contracts at foot.

  • Supports and enables achieving Safety and Environmental KPI’s.
  • Proactively engages with Safety and Environment activities on the estate.
  • Ensure that safety and environment is a primary consideration in any contract and procurement engagements.
  • Identify, assess and manage project risks through application of Perth Airport’s Risk Management Framework.


  • Provide leadership through personal conduct and application of Perth Airport’s Values, policies, systems and procedures.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and performance focused workplace culture through open communication and effective implementation of Perth Airport’s policies, systems and procedures.
  • Make a high-quality contribution to the Perth Airport Team and establish strong open working relationships with colleagues, managers and other Perth Airport members built on mutual respect.
  • Support the development and implementation of continual improvements to the project delivery systems/processes.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and delivery of business objectives.
  • Build capability and understanding of contract administration practices within the Perth Airport Team through coaching, knowledge sharing, and improvements.

Risk & business Continuity:

  • Responsible for ensuring risks and controls allocated to their position are regularly reviewed and their currency maintained; and that familiarity with business continuity arrangements within their area of responsibility is maintained.


Technical Skills & Education required

  • Engineering, quantity surveying, and/or Construction Management
  • In depth experience in commercial and contract management within a relevant project/construction based industry
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiation and strategizing for commercial outcomes
  • Extensive knowledge of various contracting and procurement models
  • Good comprehension of operational and financial risks without exposing the project.
  • Experience in claims management.
  • Experience in implementation of bespoke forms of contract.
