Introduction

Brunel are proud to partner with a reputable Tier 2 Builder as they search for a Contract Administrator to join their team.

They have a national presence with projects located throughout Australia and a turnover of $400m+ p/a. Across Brisbane they cover projects within Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Retail, Hospitality, High Rise Residential, Aged Care and Government sectors. These range up to $70m.

A new CA is required due to organic growth as the Brisbane construction market gets busier!

About this role

Responsibilities

Working alongside the Project Manager, Contracts Manager and Site Staff to manage requirements of a project:

  • Crafting and submitting variation orders and contractual notices.
  • Compiling progress claims and reports for the head contract.
  • Supporting project cost reporting and forecasting efforts.
  • Drafting head contract deliverables.
  • Facilitating clear communication with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Managing negotiation processes for subcontract packages and overseeing subcontract administration.
  • Proficiency in analysing contractual claims and variations.
  • Understanding and applying contract principles and terms.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Experience working on Commercial Projects, ideally Education, Aged Care and / or Defense would be highly desirable.
  • Exposure to commercial projects $10m+.
  • Knowledge of the Australian construction market and subcontractors (preferably QLD based).
  • Strong attention for detail and proven communication skills.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience within a similar role.
