Brunel Energy is working with a major Oil and Gas company, looking to hire a Building Inspector to support business from their Corpus Christi, TX location for a 18-to-20 month contract.
This position will involve inspections on a new construction build of an administrative building. The Building Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all building safety and quality concerns are met.
About this role
- Building Safety Compliance:
Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Identify and address any safety concerns related to construction activities.
- Quality Assurance:
Monitor and assess the quality of construction work to ensure it meets specified standards and requirements.
Collaborate with construction teams to address and rectify any quality issues.
- Experience Utilization:
making informed decisions during inspections.
Leverage expertise to provide recommendations for improvements and adherence to best practices.
- City Regulations Adherence:
Utilize city experience to navigate and enforce local building codes and regulations.
Obtain and maintain necessary city certifications to enhance inspection capabilities.
- New Construction Expertise:
Demonstrate proficiency in inspecting new construction builds, including administrative buildings.
Identify and resolve issues specific to the challenges of new construction projects.
- Project Duration Management:
Oversee the building inspection process for the duration of the construction project.
Ensure timely completion of inspections to meet project milestones.
- Communication and Reporting:
Communicate effectively with construction teams, architects, and other stakeholders to convey inspection findings.
Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting compliance and any areas requiring attention.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with different teams involved in the construction process to address and resolve issues promptly. Coordinate with project managers to align inspection schedules with construction timelines.
- 10+ years of experience in the field
- City experience preferred, city certifications a plus
- Experience with new construction builds
- Ability to ensure that all building safety and quality concerns are met
