An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Design Engineer to join an engineering firm specializing in the design and construction of offshore wind projects and platforms. As a Structural Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and development of some of the most challenging and innovative steel structures in the industry.
As a Structural Design Engineer for wind projects at our engineering firm, you will have the opportunity to work on large offshore projects and platforms, where you will design and create the most innovative steel structures.
We are looking for a candidate with a mechanical engineering bachelor education (or similar) who is eager to learn and grow in the field of 3D design. Experience with 3D software is an advantage, but not a requirement. Strong language skills in Dutch and English and good communication skills are a must. We value a solution-oriented attitude, teamwork, and the ability to think outside of the box.
In return, we offer you a dynamic and challenging work environment where you will work on projects that are both technically complex and diverse. Our engineering firm operates on a global scale, working on projects in seven different markets. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and talents, and work with a team of bright and talented engineers. Additionally, our company culture is one that values not only technology, but also fun and social events.
- Lead the design and analysis of steel structures for offshore wind projects, including foundations, towers, and support structures;
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to develop optimal structural solutions;
- Prepare detailed design calculations and drawings, and ensure that designs comply with relevant codes and standards;
- Perform structural analysis using finite element method and software;
- Monitor and report on the progress of design and analysis work, and ensure that project timelines are met;
- Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure that constructed structures conform to design specifications.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in structural design, with a focus on steel structures and offshore structures;
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including Eurocodes and AISC;
- Proficient in using analysis and design software, such as STAAD Pro, SACS, RISA, or similar;
- Experience with offshore wind projects is highly desirable;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Our firm offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth. If you are a highly motivated engineer with a passion for designing innovative steel structures for offshore wind projects, we want to hear from you.
