About this role: Senior Embedded Software Engineer

They are active in the fields of CCTV (camera surveillance), communication systems (public address and evacuation systems, conference systems), social alarms, burglary and fire detection equipment.
A Software Engineer is responsible for developing adapting software applications with regard to the assigned products/projects for Video and Conference systems. This includes the independent realization of:
- Specification and design at module or component level;
- Associated implementation and documentation of the specified functionality;
- Adequate testing for the verification of the realized functionality;
- Maintenance on software/firmware.
- Driven by quality and teamwork;
- Meticulous, analytical, result-oriented, creative and communicative;
- Knowledge and experience in writing software applications in C++ and C#;
- At least 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer / Developer in a technical environment and affinity with hardware;
- Good command of the English language;
- Computer science education at HBO/WO level;
- Knowledge and experience in designing with UML / OO and design patterns;
- Tools: Visual studio, Subversion, Ribbon.

Our client develops digital camera technology and platforms. The R&D department is responsible for the development of high-end digital IP cameras for security applications. This includes electronics, mechanics, optics and software. Within this R&D department, the Image Processing cluster is responsible for the embedded firmware running image processing and control algorithms, requiring an ever-increasing amount of intelligence and integration in largerscale smart systems.
