About this role: Medior Process Engineer

As a medior Process Engineer you deal with the following tasks:

  • Independently performing more complex, project-related calculations such as heat exchangers, filter vessels, crackers, distillation units and heat balances for complete process installations;
  • Setting up, managing, checking and adjusting technical calculation programs;
  • Drafting PFD’s, heat & material balances, P&ID’s, processdescriptions, control narratives and instruction manuals;
  • Carrying out project-related engineeringactivities in consultation with the projectteam, including performing riskanalyses in the designphase and analysing, interpreting and monitoring the quality of the projectinformation provided during the project (also providing professional guidance to colleagues in the field of process technology);
  • Solve specific technical problems during the project, in collaboration with the Design Leader
  • Check P&ID’s, drawings, calculations and other engineeringoutput made by colleagues or third parties;
  • Analysing and advising on fielddata from the PTC-installations: data-analysis for validation modeling;
  • Makes competitive analyzes for the benefit of BlueAlp's market position;
  • Initiating, coordinating and executing R&D-activities and implementing new developments for PTC-installations;
  • Initiate and detect IP-sensitive information, participate in the protection of BlueAlp's IP (patents);
  • Supervising (jr.) Process Engineers and trainees/graduating students;
  • Advising the Licensing team on customer related questions (second line);
  • Incidentally: jointly responsible for the proces on site: supervising, maintaining and optimizing the installation and contributing to the development and implementation of technical improvements;
  • Occasional international travelling if needed (few times a year).

Requirements

What do you bring?

  • University / bacherlor degree, in process or chemical technology, chemistry, physics;
  • Minimal 5 years relevant work experience;
  • Experience in designing technical devices or installations;
  • Experience in data-analysis, process modeling, fluid dynamics, environment and/or waste is a plus;
  • Familiarity with applied computer software and drawing programs (Aspen, HTRI);
  • Professional knowledge of the English language.
