Introduction

As an FPGA/VHDL engineer within the engineering department you are part of a multidisciplinary project team consisting of engineers in the fields of hardware, embedded software, FPGA firmware and LabVIEW.

About this role

You will contribute to the specification, design, simulation, realization and debugging of complex FPGA and SoC (System on Chip) architectures. You do this in a team context, under the leadership of a project manager together with a system architect and / or other FPGA / VHDL engineer.

This position is suitable for people with several years of relevant work experience, who are looking for a versatile job and have a very high quality awareness.

As a FPGA Designer you are the first point of contact for questions related to this topic. In the projects, you work together with the electronics architect and designers of all disciplines (software, electronics, mechatronics, mechanics).

Requirements

  • A completed education at hbo or wo, preferably in the field of Computer Science/Technology or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience within the field.
  • Knowledge of VHDL.
  • Knowledge of (system) verilog is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Xilinx and/or Altera FPGA tooling.
  • Affinity with hardware and embedded software is a plus.
  • Experience with model-based design is a plus.
  • An accurate and proactive attitude.
  • Good communication skills, both within the development team and externally towards customers.
  • A team player with a DIY mentality who can also work independently.
