We are looking for a Development Engineer who wants to make a vital contribution to our clients' new and improved products.

About this role

As a Development Engineer you are in the middle of the development process of new technologies and products, like the combustion of 100% (green) Hydrogen. You’re using your creative mind to (re)shape our new combustion concepts, writing down new specifications. And of course you’re actively thinking about how these specifications can be realized and tested successfully.

You offer close support during the construction phase of samples. You supervise start-up activities for the components at our suppliers and in the production phase. Moreover, you’ll have frequent contact with our R&D centers, located internationally.
During development, you’ll use quality methodologies such as FMEA, DRBFM and DFSS. After a thorough familiarization period, an engineer is able to perform the work independently. In the event of unexpected problems or obstacles, you’ll ask for support in a timely manner. All of our projects are carried out according to internal- and external standards, procedures and methods.

For the role as Development Engineer we’re looking for an innovative individual who has a creative mindset, is analytically strong and result oriented. As a person you are a great team player, an organizational talent and strongly independent. You take initiative and have a hands-on mentality.

You meet the following requirements:

  • Secondary level of vocational engineering in a relevant field like Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics or Instrument and Controls Engineering (or similar).
  • At least 2 years’ relevant working experience in an R&D environment.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, in particular of efficiencies, combustion and temperature measurements.
  • Experience in working with MS Office and Engineering tools, like Matlab and Python.
  • Knowledge of conformity with CE marking and licensing in the European product market.
  • Knowledge of ATEX (preferred).
  • Given our international field of work, you have excellent oral and written expression skills in English (but Dutch will be a big plus at the well-known coffee machine).
