Introduction

What are you going to do 

We are currently seeking motivated and safety focused Terminal Operators to join a busy bulk liquid terminal based at Port Botany.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a trade qualification, mechanical aptitude or experience working in an industrial environment who is looking to establish a career within the bulk liquids and terminal operations industry.

No previous terminal experience is required as full training will be provided. We are looking for reliable individuals with a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety and a willingness to learn.

  • Operate pumps, valves and associated terminal equipment
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of bulk liquid products
  • Carry out routine inspections and operational checks
  • Monitor equipment and report any faults or abnormalities
  • Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping activities
  • Complete operational documentation accurately
  • Follow all safety, environmental and operational procedures
  • Work collaboratively within a close knit team
  • Participate in shift work, overtime and weekend work as required

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • A strong focus on workplace health and safety
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with industrial equipment
  • A trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Fitting, Boilermaker or similar) or experience in manufacturing, processing, logistics, mining, construction or heavy industry is highly regarded
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence
  • The ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
  • Strong problem solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • The willingness to learn new systems and processes

  • Forklift Licence
  • High Risk Work Licence
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets
  • First Aid qualification
