Introduction
Brunel International is seeking a highly skilled Surface Mobile Maintenance Technical Specialist for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, based in a goldmine site in Papua New Guinea (PNG). This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging and dynamic mining environment, contributing your technical expertise to support critical surface mobile equipment maintenance operations.
What are you going to do
As a Surface Mobile Maintenance Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing maintenance activities on surface mobile equipment used within the goldmine. You will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimising downtime and maximising productivity. The role requires hands-on technical skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in a remote mining environment. You will collaborate closely with maintenance teams and site management to deliver high-quality maintenance solutions aligned with operational goals.
Essential skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Surface Mobile Maintenance Technical Specialist or similar role within the mining industry, preferably in goldmine operations.
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures for surface mobile equipment such as light vehicles, haul trucks, loaders, and excavators.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
- Experience working in remote and challenging environments, with a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in mechanical, electrical, or mining maintenance disciplines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work on a 6-month contract basis with the possibility of extension.
- Willingness to do FIFO on-site in Papua New Guinea.
