What are you going to do 

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator to join the pre-construction team.

Initially, your focus will be on pricing and securing projects across the community, industrial warehouse, public education, retirement living and aged care sectors, with project values ranging up to $90M. Working closely with senior leadership, design teams and delivery personnel, you will play a critical role in winning work and supporting the company's ongoing growth.

  • Prepare detailed first-principles estimates and tender submissions.
  • Lead tender pricing for projects valued up to $90M.
  • Review drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier pricing submissions.
  • Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
  • Prepare tender clarifications, scope reviews and cost plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the pre-construction process.
  • Support bid strategy and client presentations where required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator with a commercial head contractor.
  • Proven experience tendering commercial construction projects of a similar scale, ideally up to $90M.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methodologies and market rates.
  • Experience across community, education, industrial, retirement living, aged care or similar sectors.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
