Introduction

Drive the reliability and safety of innovative medical technology products from development through commercialization. As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements while improving customer satisfaction and reducing field failures.

What are you going to do 

  • Implement reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in product design reviews and reliability assessments to ensure robust product designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Apply Design for Reliability (DfR) and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies to improve product performance and quality.

Reliability Testing & Validation

  • Develop and execute reliability test strategies, including life testing, accelerated life testing (ALT), HALT, HASS, durability testing, and other verification activities.
  • Define reliability requirements and validate product performance against established targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products meet all reliability and safety requirements.

  • Perform advanced statistical analyses including Weibull analysis, regression modeling, Monte Carlo simulations, hazard analysis, reliability growth assessments, and warranty trend analysis.
  • Support root cause investigations, corrective actions, and verification activities to improve product reliability and reduce warranty claims.
  • Develop forecasts and reliability models to support decision-making and long-term product performance.

Quality & Manufacturing Support

  • Conduct Design FMEAs and recommend design improvements to enhance product reliability.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to evaluate and qualify new technologies, processes, and production methods.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices and Quality Management System requirements.
  • Provide technical recommendations to continuously improve products, services, and reliability programs.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in reliability engineering, reliability testing, Design for Reliability, software quality, software testing, product reliability analysis, or a related field (Bachelor's degree route).
  • Candidates with a Master's degree and limited professional experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with reliability methodologies such as FMEA, Weibull Analysis, Reliability Growth Analysis, RAMS, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience working within regulated industries such as medical devices, healthcare technology, pharmaceuticals, or high-tech manufacturing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
