Introduction
Brunel is currently searching for a Materials Coordinator for a long-term contract position with our client located in New Mexico. This position will work directly on an active mine site based on a 4x1 rotation.
What are you going to do
Essential Functions:
- Develop a basic material and equipment storage plan showing the location of warehouses, laydown yards, weather-protected storage areas, site fabrication facilities, and construction equipment storage and maintenance. This responsibility includes identifying the type of materials and equipment to be stored at each location.
- Ensure proper maintenance by the construction contractor of the Materials Controls computerized system - a data processing tool that assists users in the performance of day-to-day material operations.
- Assist the construction contractor in receiving, checking, storing, issuing, and maintaining records on all materials and equipment.
- Coordinator with the construction contractor in requisitioning, controlling, issuing, inventorying, and maintaining records on all small tools and expendable supplies.
- Coordinate with construction contractor in preparing and distributing Overage, Shortage, and Damage Reports for all shipment discrepancies.
- Coordinating with construction contractor in ensuring preservation activities are undertaken in accordance with vendor recommendations.

Essential skills and knowledge
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma and 8 years' experience in material coordinating/warehousing.
- Ability to analyze complex data, identify potential problems with solutions and give accurate projections. Strong problem-solving skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting, record-keeping etc.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers in a business environment: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
- Experience with SAP.
- MUST be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large copper production and related facilities.
- Prior EPCM experience preferred.
- Working as a team member (Client, EPCM & Contractors).
What we offer
Offer:
- This position is based on a 10-hour workday, 5 days/week. Flat daily rate.
- 4 weeks working at job site. 1 week off unpaid at home.
- Contractors will receive fully furnished, single-status accommodations within 1 ½ hour commute to site, along with rental car, flights to and from home, and monthly stipend of $750/mo. for living expenses. Fuel reimbursement for commute to and from site.
- Full-time employees are eligible for benefits. Benefits include medical, dental and vision that will begin on your first day of employment. 401K matching - 50% match, up to 3%.
- Position includes 3 days of PTO, 5 sick days satisfying Arizona state law. No paid holidays.
Environment: This position will be working on property of an active mine site. All employees will be MSHA trained and must adhere to strict rules and regulations while on property. Must be able to work standing for long periods of time. Walk on multiple, sometimes uneven surfaces. Work outdoors. Dress code enforced and strict adherence to code of conduct. Must wear long pants, long sleeved shirts, and steel toed boots. Safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses and any other PPE will be provided at site.
