Introduction
- Responsible for implementing the LNG project quality management program and ensuring the effective implementation of Contractor's quality management system, during fabrication of jackets and topsides for Compression Projects.
What are you going to do
- Maintain interfaces with Yard Fabrication team to ensure that quality issues are resolved promptly and effectively
- Coordinate with the Welding & NDE inspectors to ensure that welding-related quality issues are identified, communicated and rectified
- Liaise with Systems Completion team to ensure that inspection records are aligned with and support systems completion
- Provide feedback on quality issues; expedite closure of lessons learned; provide feedback on quality performance generally
- Actively participate in safety management programs including attendance at site safety walks and issuance of observation cards
- Providing continual communication, reporting and close coordination with the Head of Quality and Site Manager in Hazira yard on the quality performance of the Contractor, Subcontractors and Vendors
- Conduct other quality related tasks as directed by the Quality Division Manager
- Manage site non-conformance and technical deviations in close collaboration with the Head of Quality and Site engineering team.
- Lessons Learned process to continuously capture quality learnings from fabrication activities and to use them to develop and optimize process or specification improvements
- Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering
- Additional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications
- 10 years' experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
- Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
- Knowledge of Industry standards
- Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills
- Ability to manage development and implementation of Quality Management Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry
- Ability to interact with project management team and Contractors confidently
- Requires strong analytical, organizational and planning skills
