What are you going to do 

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, and execution of electrical systems for offshore facilities such as FPSOs, platforms, and other oil & gas projects. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical design calculations, specifications, and engineering documents.
  • Design LV/MV power distribution systems, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
  • Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, cable schedules, cable routing layouts, and equipment layouts.
  • Select and size electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, batteries, and generators.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Instrumentation, Mechanical, Process, Civil, and Piping.
  • Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform electrical studies such as load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop, motor starting, and protection coordination.
  • Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and offshore installation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, API, and project-specific standards.
  • Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and design review meetings where required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore, FPSO, EPC, or Energy projects.
