Introduction

Oversee contractor activities during the North Field Production & Sustainability Project, which includes all aspects of Onshore and offshore Electrical System Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities in Qatar to ensure flawless handover process of project from construction to Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning and Start-Up by ensuring the facility and all its components are built and installed according to the design, intent and function as agreed in project specifications.
Responsible for developing and maintaining processes and interfaces related to handover procedures and overseeing the development of Systems Completions Procedures, Factory Acceptance Test requirements, systemized drawings, vendor callout register and tracking of commissioning costs associated to Electrical discipline.

What are you going to do

Subject Matter Expert for all Electrical related activities at site, including PMS, PDCS, ELICS systems for multi project /multi discipline commissioning team.
Attend (Witness/Hold) all site related Electrical activities and walkdowns.
Ensure technical interface with site project team (PMT, Contractor, OES)
Review Contractor planning and scheduling activities for Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning to ensure coordination with other aspects of work.
Monitor Contractor performance and provide advice as necessary to ensure design goals, philosophies and specifications are achieved.
Review all documentation relates to Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning.
Participate at site to ensure safe execution of Systems Completion activities and provide guidance on Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Turnover of equipment and systems as required.
Develop and manage effective work packs, tools, commissioning plans to ensure a smooth and safe hand-over to permanent organization.
Lead and manage clear communication and reporting lines for all matters pertaining to commissioning for Offshore Project and ensure compliance with Project Management requirements.

10 years’ systems completion experience/commissioning in the oil and gas industry with exposure to a major projects environment in the oil and gas industry.
Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning experience for Electrical systems.
Deep understanding/knowledge in reading P&IDs, SLDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings.
Experience in major EPC Contractors and fabrication activities at fabrication yards
Implementation of commissioning plan.
System Completion Software (preferable WinPCS).
Knowledge of Offshore Project’s terminology.
Offshore experience (an advantage).
