Introduction

An established residential builder is seeking a Construction Manager to join their team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of a strong pipeline of townhouse developments across the Brisbane region.

What are you going to do 

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of townhouse developments, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard, on programme and within budget.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing townhouse projects from commencement through to completion
  • Overseeing site teams, supervisors, subcontractors and trades
  • Managing construction programmes, budgets and project timelines
  • Ensuring quality, safety and compliance standards are maintained
  • Building strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and clients
  • Identifying and resolving construction issues proactively
  • Monitoring project performance and providing regular updates to senior management
  • Ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to the company's high standards

Essential skills and knowledge 

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in residential construction and a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Significant experience as a Construction Manager within the residential construction sector
  • Strong experience delivering townhouse developments
  • A thorough understanding of construction processes, programming, budgets and project delivery
  • Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and project management
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Expertience with concrete unit block construction will also be highly regarded
