Introduction

  • The Cluster Chief Executive Officer – Oil and Gas, is the most senior executive responsible for the strategic leading and managing of the operations within the Oil and Gas Cluster.
  • The job holder will be accountable for achieving all financial and operational targets while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • The job holder will champion the shaping of the vision, business strategies, goals and objectives of the Cluster and ensure these are achieved through thorough articulation and execution of clear and relevant business strategies and plans for each industry of the Cluster.

What are you going to do 

  • First in command in the Oil and Gas Cluster and responsible for giving proper strategic direction as well as creating a vision for success by developing, driving growth and managing a portfolio of Oil & Gas assets, ensuring superior return to shareholders as well as expanding the business into new geographies and markets.
  • Leads the establishment and fostering of strong relationships with key players, business partners, and stakeholders across the Cluster’s industry portfolio to ensure operational excellence in a highly competitive sector as well as identifying new opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • This includes managing and maintaining workable business relationships with key external stakeholders in relevant partnering industries such as Power & Utilities, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, and Oil & Gas industries, JV partners, and relevant government authorities.
  • Manages the strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the respective Business Units and closely coordinates with leadership team in the Cluster and Board of Directors as well as senior leadership team in Company as their strategic advisor offering expert advice on contracts, negotiations, or business deals that the Cluster may enter into.
  • Maintains a deep knowledge of the markets and industries of the Cluster while staying ahead of industry trends and applicable regulatory changes impacting the energy and utilities sector to develop strategies that will adapt and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Develops high quality business strategies and plans for the respective industries of the Cluster ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Overlooks all the plans and manages all relevant project roll-out of power generation home systems.
  • Spearheads all operational and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of the Cluster.
  • Primarily liaises with top Government agencies for regulatory support, project funding, policy framework in all countries of operations.
  • Manages revenue, expenses and external financing to maintain the consistent growth of the Cluster’s businesses.
  • Ensures that expenditures of the Cluster are within the authorized annual budget of the Company.
  • Identifies business opportunities to convert into revenue streams and manage development plans and operations.
  • Analyzes high-level and critical challenges and occurrences and heads in the provision of solutions to ensure Cluster survival and growth.
  • Develops a high performing managerial team to lead and develop all lines of business under the Cluster.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 15 years of total experience.
  • Minimum 10 years in a managerial position within Oil & Gas industries.
  • Minimum 5 years in GCC is preferred.
  • Master's degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Engineering
  • Extensive leadership experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong track record of leadership and management.
  • Proven ability to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations and safety protocols.
  • Visionary thinking and adaptability to market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
