Introduction

As the project develops, the role will require a more extensive presence onboard a variety of offshore construction vessels to supervise the offshore installation contractor's and subcontractors' works. The offshore construction work is being conducted continuously between now and April 2027, and it is expected that this role will be attending offshore worksites regularly from November 2026 to the completion of the installation work.

What are you going to do 

Onshore:

  • Provide oversight and assurance of Contractor's development and execution of an assigned package of work.
  • Responsible for the review and processing of JIC Project and Contractor documentation.
  • Review Transport and Installation engineering, including sea fastening and deployment analysis for the assigned scope.
  • Coordinate technical interfaces between OIC and supplier teams.
  • Work with the OIC Engineer(s) to coordinate and interface OIC equipment requirements on company sites.
  • Coordinate and manage the technical interfaces with the OIC team, 3rd Parties and other delivery teams.

Offshore:

  • Supervise the offshore installation activities performed by Offshore Installation Contractor, ensuring full compliance with:
  • Company Project Management, Quality and HSE Systems.
  • Approved procedures and analysis.
  • Contract requirements and specifications.
  • Participate in daily offshore coordination meeting with the offshore installation Contractor.
  • Provide oversight of offshore installation contractor works on the vessels as a company field engineer, as directed by the CSR.
  • Ensure offshore installation activities are conducted in accordance with company's permit procedures.
  • Ensure any emergencies are managed in accordance with the agreed Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
  • Daily reporting activities on the vessel (both approval of Contractors DPR and Company Team onshore).
  • Manage the interface onboard the vessel between MWS Representative and Offshore Installation Contractor.
  • Ensure that any modification of the approved procedures is covered by the Management of Change process.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Exstensive years of experience within similar sized offshore construction projects, working for Tier 1 contractors or Oil and Gas Operators.
  • Experience working as a senior engineer during offshore operations on construction vessels.
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related subject.
  • Hold, or be able to hold, offshore medical, BOSIET, MSIC and any other relevant certificates and training.
  • Experience on recent deepwater projects including transportation and installation of subsea production systems and structures would be advantageous.
