Introduction

We're seeking an Air Quality Engineer II to work with a major Oil and Gas company located in Midland, TX on a contract position to support the West Texas Operations within the Permian Basin.

What are you going to do 

  • Support Air Compliance Programs for production, compression, and midstream surface facilities.
  • Develop and apply understanding of Federal, State and Site-Specific rules/limits to enhance Air Compliance Programs
  • Develop informal and formal Operations Training Material
  • Respond to issues requiring accurate and timely reporting to State Agencies
  • Support Title V reporting workflows
  • Construct regulatory applicability determinations and upkeep
  • Support LDAR Programs and enhancements
  • Implement new rules and regulations
  • Identify facilities for air permit upgrades
  • Interface with GHG Reduction Team, Operations and Facilities Engineering to develop and enhance workflows regarding response of methane/emission detection initiatives including ground-based sensors, cameras, and aerial technologies
  • Support advocacy efforts for rulemaking
  • Support response to EPA, TCEQ and RRC regarding air compliance inquiries
  • Identify and support air compliance improvement initiatives
  • Support internal reviews including OIMS and Regulatory Compliance Assessments
  • Provide input to the annual Environmental Business Plan
  • Provide Operations and Management Line-of-Site to overall air compliance health

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Knowledge in Air Compliance Programs
  • Bachelors Degree in equivalent area
  • Experience in EPA, TCEQ and RRC regulations
