Brunel Papua New Guinea are seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Advisor to work with one of the largest energy companies in the world, who have assets in Oil & Gas, LNG and Renewable energy.
About this role
The Regulatory Senior Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Regulatory Supervisor in ensuring the company's compliance with regulatory obligations. This position involves providing comprehensive regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders, fostering effective communication between the company and various government agencies in Papua New Guinea (GoPNG), and securing mutual benefits in resolving conflicts. The Regulatory Senior Advisor will mentor the regulatory subject contacts within the client, enhancing their capacity through training and workshops. Major responsibilities include interpreting and applying regulations impacting the company, maintaining key regulatory documents, providing technical advice, and collaborating with the client's business units to ensure regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role involves organizing regulatory workshops, supporting the development of regulatory applications, and contributing to ongoing relationship management with regulators.
The candidate must possess excellent reading comprehension, interpersonal skills, and cultural sensitivity.Effective communication, both verbal and written, is crucial, along with the ability to collaborate in diverse work environments.
