Our client, a High-Profile Global Organization within the Energy Sector, has an exciting contract opportunity for a highly skilled HSE Advisor within one of their Project Teams

Start date: ASAPLocation: Portsmouth Duration: Permanent

What you Will be Doing:

Take full personal and legal responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all personnel who report to you (Duty of Care) and in particular ensuring the following:• provide and maintain a safe place of work• develop and implement safe working methods• provide competent fellow workers
• provide effective supervisionEnsure a firm understanding of, and compliance with, the documented controls and processes, including the QHSE Procedures, Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments, developed to reduce the likelihood of harm to people, property and the environment to as low a level as is reasonably practicable and to ensure that the Customer’s requirement are delivered in all respects.
Participate in the regular safety tours within your area of responsibility and ensure that effective remedial action is taken in a timely manner with regard to all deficiencies or improvements identified.

Requirements

What we Need to see in you:

• Education – ONC/OHC in mechanical engineering• Skills – Minimum 5 yrs. in Quality, R&D, NPI or Product testing in a technical industry, Member of CQI or similar body• Experience – Quality Improvement tools (Six Sigma, 8D, DMAIC, 5S, Green belt) Competent to operate PC with Excel and word• Training – Lead Auditor
• Other – IOSH Managing Safety
