Introduction

On behalf of our client, a highly successful national business, Brunel is sourcing an experienced Finance Manager to join their team at their South of the River premises. This organisation has its sights set on achieving $100M turnover by 2030 and requires a commercially minded finance professional to help drive performance, governance, and strategic growth.

About this role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of finance, providing key insights and strategic input as the business scales up and pursues acquisition opportunities. This is a rare chance to take full ownership of the finance function in a growth-focused business and work closely with senior leadership.

  • Lead end-to-end financial operations including cash flow management, reporting, forecasting, BAS, ATO compliance and FBT
  • Process weekly payroll for approximately 60-70 employees
  • Implement robust financial controls, principles, and process improvements to support scalability
  • Provide strategic financial insights and reports to senior management and the owner
  • Manage supplier and debtor processes, including rebate and kickback revenue streams
  • Mentor and lead a small team, delegating transactional tasks while focusing on high-level financial strategy
  • Support acquisitions, integration, and change management initiatives as the business continues to expand

Is this you?

  • Bachelor qualification in Finance, Accounting or Commerce with CPA or CA essential
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, with strong cash flow forecasting expertise
  • Background in growth, scale-up or acquisitive environments highly regarded
  • Previous payroll experience, advanced MS Excel skills; Sybiz software is desirable
  • Commercially astute, adaptable, and solutions-focused
  • Confident engaging with senior leadership, supporting a smalll Finance Team and influencing key business decisions
  • A proactive leader seeking long-term career growth in a dynamic business
