You'll need strong experience working with SQL Server and Snowflake, and prior exposure to SAP PM/CMMS data or general familiarity with Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) and the mining industry will be highly regarded.

About this role

This role will focus on transforming complex SAP maintenance data into clear insights on performance of Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) assets. Working within an engineering-led analytics team, you will use your expertise in Snowflake SQL, Python, and SAP data structures to design high-quality data models and pipelines to support advanced analysis that drives strategic decision-making towards decarbonisation initiatives.
You will play a key role in building the analytical backbone that will help engineering and maintenance stakeholders to access and interpret asset data. You will apply your skillset to transform and structure large, complex datasets - primarily from SAP PM/CMMS - into reliable and accessible information for analysis, reporting, and visualisation. You will work with an existing codebase in GitHub and help productionise existing proof-of-concept work.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with external developers and internal technology teams to develop smooth data integration between front-end and back-end systems to ensure high-quality, reliable data foundations that enable confident performance insights. You will also develop Microsoft PowerBI and Excel tools to facilitate user data validation and transparency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain Snowflake SQL data models and pipelines supporting asset performance analytics.
  • Clean, transform, and validate SAP maintenance, materials, and operational datasets for component reliability and lifecycle analysis.
  • Develop simple PowerBI and Excel reports to support subject matter expert review and user data validation.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and external application developers to enable efficient data access between systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data quality through investigation, testing, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Use GitHub for version control, code review, and collaborative development.
  • Maintain documentation, and governance across all analytical systems.

Is this you?

  • Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience (3+ years) in data and analytics.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL Server / Snowflake and for data modelling, transformation, and automation (essential).
  • Proven experience working with SAP PM/CMMS data is strongly desirable.
  • Experience within Mining Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) environment in maintenance, reliability, planning or engineering roles is strongly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Python, Microsoft PowerBI and Excel (desirable).
