As a Crane Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of crane equipment at mining sites. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety protocols. You will oversee a team of crane operators, coordinating their activities to maximize productivity while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

About this role

  • Supervise and coordinate crane operations, including lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to crane operators, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor equipment performance and schedule routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, project managers, and safety officers, to coordinate crane activities with overall site operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including equipment usage, maintenance logs, and safety incidents.


  • Previous experience in crane operation and supervision, preferably in a mining or industrial setting.
  • Certification as a Crane Operator and/or Crane Supervisor, including relevant licenses and endorsements.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in crane operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on ensuring efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Flexibility to work in a FIFO (Fly-In-Fly-Out) schedule, with extended periods spent at remote mining sites.
