About this role: Cost Engineering Advisor
On behalf of our client, a World Leading Oil & Gas Operator, Brunel is presently sourcing a Cost Engineering Advisor. This is a two (2) year contract located in luxurious offices in the heart of the city.
The successful candidate will be working as a member of a multi-functional team to support the successful delivery of Maintenance Work Program, including Corrective, Preventive, and Campaign Maintenance. This position will drive optimisation of Cost Management processes to provide consistency across function and drive for standardisation / simplification.
- Design, standardise and maintain the Maintenance Performance reports, using Business Analytic applications, such as Power BI, drawing on the Cost Engineering functional support model encompassing extensive MS Excel, database and data analytics experience
- Provide Cost Performance analysis by defining key performance metrics for cross asset benchmarking and cross function with shutdowns
- Understand best practices – leverage off information from Manufacturing to support development
- Review and provide input to the library of Norms Strategy of Planned Maintenance to improve cost estimating accuracy and future planning
- Coordinate collection of all cost information to support project Finance and Business Planning with forward Work Program and Budgeting, and with Funding Appropriations
- Support the Digital Core SAP rollout as required from a Cost Engineering standpoint
- Support Competitive Performance with validation of initiatives and trajectories
- Support the inputs and interpretation of analysis of Solomons Benchmarking
- Identify, share and implement Lessons Learned
- Update monthly metrics for cost performance analysis
- Partner with Contracts Team to measure performance of the Primary Maintenance Contractors
- Responsible for Track EM time capture
- Responsible for the product, manage the team and interfaces and drive for continual improvement to ensure quality data for end users
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or Commerce (preferred)
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and adept in process

- Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to high-class business results
