Power System Design Engineer (w/m/d)

You live in Berlin, Brandenburg or the larger catchment area and are looking for a challenge in the south of the capital? For our Berlin-based client, an internationally active company in the field of energy technology, we are looking for an engineer for grid technology in the area of high-voltage grids to start as soon as possible.

- Your responsibilities will include understanding the customer's power system requirements, regulatory requirements, and standards to be met.- In addition, developing the initial system architecture and advising the customer on problem areas or designs that can be optimized.
- You will also be responsible for performing preliminary load flow studies using PowerFactory DIgSILENT or a similar software tool for the purpose of initial system design and equipment sizing. - In doing so, you will maintain close collaboration with the mechanical-electrical teams to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective practical implementation of the power system design.
- You will speak with the customer as needed to explain the power system solution and answer any questions or issues that may arise- Continue to identify studies to be performed, develop procurement specifications, and work closely with the procurement team
- Continue to be the client's main point of contact for all issues related to power system studies and answer any questions that may arise.- You will work closely with the mechanical-electrical teams to ensure full alignment between the power system design and the practical implementation of the project.

• Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical or power engineering.
• Solid experience in electrical studies of high voltage transmission systems
• Sound knowledge of electrical load flow and equipment sizing, reactive power management, harmonic management and availability studies
• Competent user of power system analysis software such as Power Factory DIgSILENT or similar.
